Airmen from the 17th Special Operations Squadron and 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron participated alongside their forward air refueling point (FARP) counterparts from the Australian Army 6th Aviation Regiment to refuel five HH-60 Blackhawks from the 6th Aviation Battalion Assault Force July 17, 2017, at Mackay Field, Australia. The combined training exercise enabled the Air Force and Australian Army to improve interoperability and develops tactics, training and procedures for future joint FARP operations throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific Theater.
