Lt. E. N. Jackson, belonging to the Signal Corps, captured a photograph on January 27, 1918, at Camp Lewis, American Lake, Washington. The image depicts an international soccer match between the Camp Lewis team and "The Fragments," which consisted of Canadian soldiers returning from France. The game ended in a tie, with a score of 3-3. The gate receipts from the match were divided between the Red Cross and a fund for returned soldiers from Canada. This photograph was released by the War Department to the Photo Division on February 12, 1918.
