Bangladesh 9 March, 2019. The prayers praying at Dhormorazik Buddha Bihar in Dhaka. Buddha Purnima, the greatest religious festival of Buddhists, is being celebrated in Bangladesh, as in the other countries in the sub-continent, Far East and South East Asia. Buddha Purnima is a festival that marks Gautam Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death. It falls on the day of the full moon in May. Lord Buddha was born on a full moon day in 563 BC.
