This Golden Orb Weaving Spider (Nephila Edulis) was a long way from its normal habitat in New South Wales - found in Ringwood, Victoria, Australia.

Orb Weaving Spiders are all tropical or sub tropical species. I was really surprised to find this one under the eaves of the flat next door - in Ringwood, Victoria. Must be an example of global warming.
