They are annuals of the easiest culture. Seed can be sown any time in the spring after danger from frost is passed. They grow about 2§ feet high, and come into bloom early in July, and continue without interruption until hard frost. The beautiful flowers in exquisite shades are borne on long stems and when cut keep in perfect condition for the best part of a week. They make effective borders or beds and no garden is complete without Scabiosas, especially where flowers are wanted for cutting.
