Melby's Flower Shop has enjoyed a good general run of business, with rosea one of the most popular items at the present time. Felix Kosaia has been moving large quantities of seasonable flowers through effective window displays of late, and this shop has been showing some of the finest Columbia roses seen on the mar- ket this year. Eugene Lamble, of McCoy's, was a recent visitor at the Beall Greenhouses on Vashon island. General business has held up well, and there has been a satisfactory total for funeral work. The Art Floral Co. has one of the shops that have especially benefited by the continued demand for bedding stock; its location is ideal for securing this type of business. P. F. Rosaia, of Eosaia Bros., left the day following Memorial day on a three weeks' motor trip to California, combining business and pleasure. Decorations for the first large wed- ding of this season were handled by the Hollywood Gardens last week. From this time on, business of this type promises to be heavier. Eosaia Bros, report that the supply of poinsettias for the coming holidays is being put in at the greenhouses, over 3,000 plants being set out this year. Only red stock is being handled this time, the demand for white and pink offerings having been too light in previous seasons. Irving Harris has been moving large quantities of small potted geraniums at the Bon Marche Flower Shop, this stock especially appealing to the store buyers.
