The Keelmen's hospital Newcastle upon Tyne
The Keelmen's hospital was completed in 1701, one of the few remaining brick built buildings dating from that period within Newcastle upon Tyne. The hospital was financed by a levy on the keel boats that handled the coal trade on the Tyne.
