ISTANBUL, TURKEY. A view from Beyoglu district to the Golden Horn, Sultanahmet and the Sea of Marmara. 2011.
This image was taken looking south from Beyoglu district to the Golden Horn (an inlet on the Bosphorus, with ferries moored by the terminus in Eminonu), the historic districts of Sultanahmet and Cagaloglu, and the Sea of Marmara. The tall building on the right is the Galata Tower. The Blue Mosque is visible on the left, in the distance. A cruise ship (the 'Ruby Princess') can be seen leaving the Bosphorus and heading into the Sea of Marmara en route to the Mediterranean.
