General descrip- tion. The pancreas is a flattened, light yel- lowish - browai organ, placed in the loop of the duodenum between this latter and the stomach. The whole organ is within the gastro-duodenal liga- ment, and is attached to the liver; hence it is little influenced by changes in the amount of distension of the stomach or intestine.
