A narrow boat passes under the West Coast Main Railway line at Bamfurlong near Wigan as bridge inspectors for Network rail have moved out of the way.

On Tuesday the 14th of November 2017 contractors for Network Rail undertook an inspection of the bridge that carries the West coast Mail Line over the Leigh branch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Bamfurlong near Wigan. The Canal and River Trust advised boaters that there may be delays to their journey while the pontoon the inspection team used was moved out of the way. In this view the pontoon has been moved out of the way and the crew of the narrow boat “Tootleworth” pass by on the way southwards.
