NEZSONS PILLAR. This tribute of national gratitude to the me-mory of our great naval hero, stands near to thePost Office, in Sackviile-street. It consists ofa pedestal, column and capital, of the Tuscanorder; the whole being surmounted by a well-executed statue of Lord Nelson leaning againstthe capstan of a ship. There are within thepedestal and column one hundred and sixty-eight stone steps, forming an ascent to the top,v^ hich is protected by a parapet and iron this elevated situation, in clear weather,.
