Chicken War' painted in 1872 by Henryk Rodakowski (1823-1894). King Sigismund the Old and his Court during the Noblemen's Rebellion. Behind the King is a triumphant Queen Bona, by the railing is General Jan Tarnowski, speaking to the rebellious noblemen. Chicken War or Hen War (Wojna kokosza) was a 1537 anti-royalist and anti-absolutist rokosz (rebellion) by the Polish nobility.
