The dam of the artificial Plastiras Lake in Karditsa Prefecture, Thessaly, Greece
The Plastiras dam, with a height of 83 m and a width of 220 m in its highest point is "responsible" for the creation of the lake. Its construction was completed around 1959. On the two edges of the dam there are traffic lights, because only one car can pass from the narrow road on the top of the dam. The idea about the creation of a lake in that region, belonged to a Greek politic named, Nikolaos Plastiras and that's where the name of the lake comes from
