French survivors from Woebbelin are examined by a Polish doctor after liberation. The SS opened Wöbbelin in February 1945 to house concentration camp prisoners whom the SS had evacuated from other camps to prevent their liberation by the Allies. The camp was freed on May 2, 1945. The photo is dated 14th May 1945, 12 days after its liberation.
