Sword fallen during the battle between Alexander the Great and King Darius depicted in the Alexander Mosaic from the Casa del Fauno (House of the Faun) in Pompeii, now on display in the National Archaeological Museum (Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli) in Naples, Campania, Italy. Alexander the Great is depicted attacking King Darius during one of decisive battles in the conquest of the East, probably the Battle of Issus (333 BC), the Battle of the Granicus River (334 BC) or the Battle of Gaugamela (331 BC).
