The House on Fire Ruin is an ancient 1,000 year old Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwelling in Mule Canyon in the Shash Jaa Unit of the Bears Ears National Monument in southeastern Utah. It's name is derived from the flame-shaped sandstone patterns of the ceiling of the alcove glowing orange from the light reflected off the sandstone floor.
