Idlib, Syria. 07 February 2023. Members of the Syrian Civil Defence undertake rescue operations in the city of Sarmada, in the Idlib governorate, in the aftermath of a major earthquake in the region. On Tuesday afternoon the number of victims in Sarmada reached 75 dead and more than 80 injured. The damage to road and infrastructures has added further complexity to the rescue operations and the delivery of aid to many areas affected by the earthquake in northwest Syria
