Before the introduction of electric traction into Hong Kong,the popular ricksha drawn by a Chinese coolie was the prin-cipal means of locomotion, and of these nearly 2000 werelicensed for hire, in addition to a large number owned rather slow, the ricksha is hard to beat for generalconvenience; the fight for supremacy between the out-of-date CAR STORAGE HOUSES VS. He says the company has puton 50 per cent more cars since it took over the property twoyears ago, while the traffic has increased but 18 per cent. Fiftynew large cars have been ordered and are being are being made to enlarge some of the power stations toincrease the power facilities.
