Zumwalt-class frigate USS Rentz (FFG 46), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Pinkney (DDG 91) and USS Sampson (DDG 102), Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65), and aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) operate in formation Feb. 15, 2010, in the South China Sea. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is conducting operations in support of maritime strategy in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
