THE weather has been cooler and withmore rain than was desired by thefarmers. Still, harvest operations aregoing forward very rapidly. Fully 60 percent, of the wheat in Manitoba is cut, andprobably 25 per cent, of the crop in theTerritories. There will be a yield of at least35,000,000 bushels in Manitoba and theTerritories combined. Under favorable con-ditions threshing will be general in aboutten days. Some threshing gangs are outalready, and new wheat has been deliveredat two points, Myrtle and Stockton. Thesample, so far, is very good, there being nosign of smut, and, so far, no sign of yield is specially heavy in the westernMennonite district which lies along theUnited States boundar
