Cheetah on kill remains, Acinonyx jubatus
A pair of young cheetah devour an impala that their mother has just killed. The cheetah is reknown for bolting down food as they are timid and cannot risk injury defending their kills against stronger and more aggressive competitors. They have been witnessed to leave a fresh kill if enough vultures pose a threat just by intimidating numbers.
