A BMT D-Type Triplex train, in use from 1927-1965, travels from the NY Transit Museum on a short run to Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station to mark the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corp. (BMT). The BMT opened cutting transit time from Manhattan to Coney Island to 48 minutes and spurred development in what was then rural Brooklyn.
