Rat brain slices. Laboratory rat head embedded in a block of wax. The block is being sliced into thin sections by microtome. The slices will then be stained, wax removed and mounted onto glass slide for viewing under a microscope. These samples came from rats exposed to electromagnetic radiation from power lines and mobile phones. Examination of these samples will reveal if the radiation has caused tumours or other diseases. Photographed at the Cancer Research Centre, Ramazzini Foundation, Italy.
