500 Boylston Street consists of a six-story base of retail and office space positioned below a 19-story office tower. The exterior was designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee. The John Hancock Tower, designed by I. M. Pei in 1976, is the tallest building in New England. It is located in Copley Square, in Boston's Back Bay area. The Rogers Building was completed in 1866 and was the original home for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Chemistry Department before the school moved to Cambridge in 1916. Louis Boston is an upscale clothing store located on Boston's famous Newbury Street. The building, which formerly housed the New England Museum of Natural History, was built in 1863 by noted architect William G. Preston.
