It has fan shaped leaves, split into divisions at the apex, and frequently there are threads hang-ing- between the divisions. The plants will g-row into magnificent specimens in time. It is a strong-, vig-orous plant, and makes a fine appearance in the window, or in contrast with other plants in the g-reenhouse or conservatory. Price, 4 inch pots, 35 cents each ; larger sizes, 50 cents and $ each. Phcenix Canariensis. Phoenix Canariensis. (Canary Island Date Palm.) The branches are feather shaped, long-, grace- fully arched, and, as the picture shows, are borne in luxuriant abundance. The color of the foliage is dark glossy green. The Canary Island Date Palm is of rapid growth, and soon attains large size. Price, 12 inches high, 4 and 5 leaves, 35c each. Weeping- Palm. (Washingtonia Filifera.) This is conceded to be one of the best palms for amateur culture. It stands ill treatment with im- punity, and thrives where other palms die. It is exceedingly ornamental, with elegant fan-shaped leaves of rich, dark, leathery green, from which hang long, thread-like filaments; a compact grower. Price, 15 cents each ; 4 for 50 cents.
