BRITONS LEARN TURKISH: ADULT EDUCATION IN LONDON, 1943 - A group of British women listen to their teacher during a Turkish language class at the Londra Turk Halkevi. Classes are held here twice a week. Among the women are: second from left Miss Crackenthorpe, who wants to visit Turkey after the war and possibly get a job there, third from left is Mrs Hilda Beaufoy, who is interested in languages and second from right Mrs Langdale Brown, who is a musician and loves all things Turkish. She hopes to visit Turkey after the war and is learning the language in preparation for such a visit
