Leaves of the cherr} {Primus avium L.,order Rosacea) are seldom over 10 cm. long,about 5 cm. broad, oblong-ovate, taper-pointed,petioled, witli numerous teeth on the margin,each with a small gland (Fig. 382). On one orboth sides of the petiole is a brown, glisteninggland.
