One of wheels of the chariot design of Konark temple


Konark temple ('Konaditya') was built in the thirteenth century by Raja Narasinghs Deva-I, designed in the shape of a chariot with 12 pairs of stone wheels. The wheels represent the 'wheel of life' and show creation, preservation, and achievement.
