Demobilisation of the British Army The four millionth British soldier to be demobilised, Rifleman John Neale, aged 31, of the King's Royal Rifle Corps, collects rations from the NAAFI at No 4 Military Dispersal Unit, Albany Street, London. Rifleman Neale, of Hounslow, Middlesex, served as an officer's batman before demobilisation.
