At the end of our Thousand Island cruise at Alexandria Bay, New York I photographed this beautiful sunset of shimmering gold and orange on the pristine and calm waters of the bay. Then, getting inspired with Photoshop, I changed the mood and setting of this soothing sunset over the water, to a scenic moonrise with mists of fog hanging over the lake waters and along shore. I think it works well as a nighttime tranquil scene, with soothing blues and purples of night replacing the orange and yellow hues of sunset. Both are beautiful soothing scenics of nature and its' grandeur.
