Therapeutic Applications— All forms of cerebral conges-tion, insomnia from cerebral hyperemiay the delirium ofinfectious fevers, and congestive headache, require the coldhead compress. The hot head compress, or fomentation to the head, excitescerebral activity, and is of great service in anemia in syn-cope, shock, and in collapse from any cause when associatedwith cerebral anemia.
