Shortly after it wasinstalled a girl caught her heel upon the iron tread and fell down the ACCIDENT PREVENTION 325 steps, fracturing her arm. The fact was reported to the safety report, however, blamed the cause upon the high heeled shoesworn by the girl. The next day another girl fell down these steps, butno serious consequence resulted. A week later a third girl caught herheel in the same way, falling and injuring her leg.
