Soviet space radar facility. Gambit satellite image of the space tracking radar facility at Sary Shagan in the USSR (now in Kazakhstan). Gambit was a series of photoreconnaissance satellites launched between 1963 and 1967 to collect intelligence on the USSR and their allies. Capsules containing film were ejected from the satellite and sent back to earth for collection. Image obtained on the 28th May 1967.
