Recruits of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, navigate through an obstacle during Confidence Course II at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 23. Recruits must use their strength to navigate over and under the logs while trying to maintain a low profile. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate April 22.
