She is a charter mem-ber of the Huntington Christian churchand an active worker in the WomansChristian Temperance Union. JENNIE MAUD WHITELOCK Was born April 17, 1862, in Syracuse,N. Y. Her parents were Philo Sperryand Ester Neal Nottingham. Herfather was a soldier in the rebellion,and died in the army of typhoid fever,May 3, 1863. Her mother died May, ORLANDO W. WHITELOCK Spent the first fifteen years of his lifeon his fathers farm at Plum Tree,Ind., where the writer has often beenpleasantly entertained during six yearsof ministerial life as pastor of thePlum Tiee church. It was there I firstmet the young attorney and formed anacquaintance that has always beenpleasant and agreeable. Brother Whitelock, at the age of. REV. D. B. ATKINSON, Professor of Latin in U. C. Thus hecould more fully appreciate the valueof money, by earning it himself, whichat the same time taught him the lessonof self-reliance.
