The daily train crosses the Wampo (Whampo) Viaduct above the River Kwai (correct name Khwae Noi) on the Thai-Burma rail link railway line (commonly known as death railway) between Nam Tok and Kanchanaburi Railway Station, created by POWs held captive by the Japanese during WW2
