View WNW of the two gateposts & low collapsed drystone walls of a Bronze Age field on East Moor, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, England, UK. Rather than a hinged gate, the entrance gap, wide would have been closed by a simple timber hurdle to stop cattle but allow pedestrian access. The opposite side wall of this rectangular field is visible returning on the R & is continued uphill to the horizon. Part of a 2nd millennium BC complex of rectangular fields & circular houses (hut circles). This is the same field as in image CS1925, ESE of Altarnun Nine Stones stone circle. Part of a reave system of prehistoric land division on Bodmin Moor.
