Henoch schonlein purpura
Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) rash on the legs of an 8 year old girl. This is the inflammation and bleeding of the blood vessels (vasculitis) resulting in a skin rash, and joint and abdominal pain. It is rare condition, most often seen in children under 10. Rarely it can cause kidney damage. HSP appears to be an autoimmune disorder, but its cause is unclear. It usually gets better without treatment.
