It consists of a bed-plate similar in form to an ordinaryhorseshoe, as per Fig. 3, to which is pivoted at center of toea movable quadrant, graduated or divided into 90 degrees, fromthe ground surface upward, and is operated by means of a leverworking the sweep of the quadrant forward and back.
