The Bradley Car Works, of Worcesler, Mass., has finished forthe Worcester Consolidated Street Railway Co., 14 long cars thathave heen designed with special reference to the needs of an inter-nrban road, running from a large city through several small therefore having considerable local and town to town travel,in addition to the regular long-distance and through travel. Thereis nothing radical in the details of construction, but the seating ar-rangement is unique, and diiTerent from the regulation cross-seat. of the Worcester Consolidated company states tliat the results inpractice have proved the theory to be a good one. The princijjal dimensions of the car are as follows: Length overend sills, 30 ft.; length over vestibules, 39 ft. 4 in.; length over all,40 ft. 4 in.; width over side sills. 7 ft. g in.: width at eave, 7 ft. IIin.; width outside of sheathing, 7 ft. 10 in.: width outside of crownmoulding, 6. ft. 3/^ in.; height from rail to under side of sill, 30)4in.; heiglit from rail to top of roof. 11 ft.; height from floor toceiling, 7 ft. glii in.
