The most potent causes of apical abscesses are: first, infectedpulps; and secondly, faulty root canal technic. The treatment of these cases is divided into three groups; first,medicinal; secondly, surgical; and lastly, radical. The medicinalconsists of applying disinfectants to the root canals, such as formocresol.
