A Swiss dagger, Southern Germany or Switzerland, circa 1580 Broad double-edged blade with slightly reinforced point and central ridge on both sides. Typically shaped grip, the hilt made of ebonised wood with brass inlays at the junction to the iron quillons and pommel. With corresponding scabbard made of pierced iron with wooden core and remnants of the original velvet cover in between. Two suspension bars on the reverse side. Includes the original by-knife and awl with grip panels of ebonised wood. Length cm. Rare, early dagger of Landsknec, Additional-Rights-Clearance-Info-Not-Available
