Some excellent vases made at Yenice are to be found in the collec-tions in Europe. In Xew ^ork, Mr. Barlow and Mr. Pi-ime have somepieces wiiich may be of Yenice, or they may be of Chelsea, as the (1 ihc mark are almost identical. Some pieces are known, nponwhich is tlie mark G. A. F. F. and the name ^tcte^o in script. Xear Turin, at Yineut, a manufactory was established about ITTOby a physician named Gioanetti. It was noted for its fine grain andthe whiteness of its glaze, says Chaffers; while Marryat says, Theglaze, however, is wavy and yellowish. It was somethnes marked with a simple -]-, at others with a V underthe cross, and again as shown here: Meaning Vinevf, Dr. Gioanetti. NovE—IIaed Paste.—Porcelain seems to have been attempted atXove, near Bassano, in Ital}-, about 1752, by a man named Antonibon,who with his son afterward continued it till 1781 or later. Someelaborate pieces were made here, one of which we have taken fromMarryats book, because it seems to possess, w^hat so few do,
