The Portuguese Parliament passed today a motion of no confidence with the support of the Socialists and the Left parties, leading to the fall of the twentieth Constitutional Government of Portugal headed by Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho.  The result was expected, following the parliamentary elections (October 4) and the  subsequent loss of its absolute majority by the centre-right coalition Government.
