German prisoners of war at Haute-Saone are seen working in quarries. They were required to work but were given a daily wage and rations. The photograph, taken in 1919, was part of the official French records and is labeled as "WUNDER 1323 FRENCH 1919 DESCRIPTION 1980 TAKEN KU. GERMAN PRISONERS". A note from 1923 mentions the file number and mentions the location as Haute-Saone.
