Not eyen with the haemocj-anin of Eledone moschata bave I obtained the characteristical " projectiles " of the haemocyanin of Octopus vulgaris. ReassLiming, oxyhaeinocyanin may crystallize in the form of "projectiles" or neeJies of a greenish-blue colour. The " projectiles " are characteristic to the haemocyanin of Octopus vulgaris; the needles are common to the haemocyanin of Octopus vulgaris, Octopus macropus and Eledone moschata. On recrystallization the haemocyanin-needles obtained from the blood of Octopus vulgaris may pass into " projectiles ". The haemocyanin crystals of Octopus m'acropus may pass into an insoluble modification which I bave called "parahaemo- c y a n i n "..
