Thousands of gallons of water cascade over the Great Falls of the Passaic River in Paterson, NJ, seen on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Many communities in Northern New Jersey suffered extensive flooding because of Hurricane Irene. and President Barack Obama recently visited Paterson after signing a disaster declaration. The waterfall, located in the formerly industrial area of Paterson, is 77 feet tall and provided power to run mills and factories.
