Palazzo Rasponi del Sale & Chiesa di Santa Maria del Suffragio in Piazza del Popolo, Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

This image shows Piazza del Popolo in Ravenna, Italy. Piazza del Popolo is the main square of Ravenna. The origin of the square can be traced back to the late thirteenth century, when the family Da Polenta became mistress of the city. The political centre became the residence of Bernardino da Polenta, that the noble had built on the ruins of an ancient palace built on the bank of Padenna. On the far right is Chiesa di Santa Maria del Suffragio (The church of Santa Maria of Suffrage), a place of Catholic worship.
