Mauerpark, in the former 'death zone', between inner and outer walls of the Berlin Wall, is very popular with people on a warm Sunday afternoon, when the Mauer Park Flea Market (background of shot) is open. Many musicians, here the Knoblauch Klezmer Band (with members from Germany, France, Scotland and Russia/Israel), entertain the crowds. The border wall facing West Berlin followed the line of the flea market stalls in the background of the view. A high 30m long section of the Inner Wall runs along the top of the slope, out of shot behind the camera.
