“Big man with little man,” Stephan Balkenhol created a work that explored the question of the power of the individual citizen. The 4 meter high figure, which gazes confidently toward Pariser Platz, shows the importance of the individual citizen in a democracy. The smaller, meter high figure, who looks through the legs of his gigantic compatriot in the direction of Ebertstraße, is a homage to the many people who oppose state repression.
